RE: Proposal to perform as a top billing in a benefit concert at a local live music venue featuring socially conscious world music bands, to raise badly needed funds for and awareness of the plight of indigenous Aeta communities in Pampanga, Philippines whose homes have been devastated by the recent earthquake. Proceeds from the concert go to the Citizens’ Disaster Response Center’s Alay Bayan-Luson, Inc., a grassroots organization serving communities in need in central Luzon, Philippines including the Aeta people. PUBLICITY: The event will be publicized globally through social media online, and locally through various formats including print and radio. The event not only aims to support the Citizens’ Disaster Response Center’s Alay Bayan-Luson, Inc.’s immediate cause to provide relief for Aeta earthquake victims through fund-raising, but also by drawing attention to the organization’s mission as well as to the general plight of indigenous nations who are among the most persecuted communities in the Philippines.

The Coordinator, Kokoy Severino, will be traveling to the Philippines in July and November and can deliver the funds directly to the CDRC.
